The attendees of the community meeting of September 2008 had the option to list their primary concern on the registration sheet. Sixty (60) concerns were listed. We have grouped them into 7 categories: environment, safety, roads, community, recycling, noise, water, and architecture and maintenance.

Concerns by category

When looking at the distribution, environmental concerns came out highest by a large margin, driven by concerns over pine beetle and weed control, followed by safety, roads and general community concerns:

Actions

The board has started to take the following actions:

  • We have set up a Landscape Advisory committee tasked. They have started to publish information with regards to weed control and more is about to follow. Click on the Landscape category (left pane)
  • Alida Alberts of the recycling committee is already in discussion with Waste Management with regards to recycling. For more information click on the Recycling category.
