Water Adjudication

Many of the property owners in Ponderosa Hills participated in three rounds of adjudicating (negotiating legal rights) to the water in aquifers under their property.

Water rights were adjudicated with a view to eventually use the rights to either develop a community well or to use them to negotiate water rights from a municipality. Properties that did not adjudicate would pay a premium to participate in a community water project. Water rights for a property that has not been already adjudicated may still be adjudicated but must be done on an individual basis.
