Dumpster Donation Day Moved up to Aug. 13

The date for Dumpster Donation Donation Day has been rescheduled from Aug. 27  to Aug. 13 (Saturday).

The county will furnish four  30-yard dumpsters for the disposal of unwanted items on a first-come, first-served basis.

TIME:  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until the dumpsters are full.  The dumpsters will be placed on the Douglas County park off  Piney Creek Road across the street from 12354 Woodland Trail.

 Acceptable items: Construction and demolition debris (wood, aluminum, steel, concrete, shingles, drywall), glass, plastic, cardboard, furniture, most appliances, inert solids (gravel, sand, asphalt), tree branches, and stumps.

Non-acceptable items: Paint, hazardous waste, residential waste (trash, manure), medical waste, auto fluids (oil, antifreeze), liquid waste, grass, leaves, tires, refrigerators, televisions, and monitors.

Douglas County staff will be there to host the event but any help from the Ponderosa Hills Civic Association would be greatly appreciated.  The country will have a recycler at the event to take any metal items.
