November 20th, 2015 – Received from Douglas County:
I have attached the seedling tree order form for 2016. The Douglas County Conservation District has seedling trees for sale to landowners. There is no minimum acreage requirement to be eligible to purchase seedlings. There are a wide variety of species available such as bare root shrubs and trees as well as deciduous and coniferous trees. Also available are perennials, variety packs, and larger tree stock available. These plants are to be planted for conservation uses such as windbreaks, shelterbelts, living snow fences, erosion control, wildlife habitat, and reforestation.
Payment (checks or money order) must accompany the order and sent to the Douglas County Conservation District, PO Box 688, Franktown, CO 80116. These plants are available on a first-come, first-served basis so get orders in right away. The deadline for ordering will be Thursday March 31, 2016 to be picked up on Thursday April 14, 2016 in Castle Rock in time for spring planting.
Please contact Pam at the Douglas County Conservation District office for any questions at 303-688-2042 ext. 100 or DCCDistrict@gmail.com
