Geo-hazards (soils) and Aquifers in Douglas County

All are invited! In addition to complimentary finger foods, desserts, coffee, and apple cider, we are pleased to present Jan Dixon, Geologist. She will educate all on the Geo-hazards (soil issues), and the aquifers here in Douglas County. A brief business meeting will be conducted before the presentation. The District will be recognizing Turk Wendell, a Douglas County landowner who has demonstrated good land stewardship through wild turkey habitat plantings. The district will also be awarding scholarship money to two college students, Bailey McHenry and Katlin Sanderson who are pursuing a degree in Agriculture. We would like to have you join us for this enjoyable and informative evening on Thursday October 15, 2009 at the Philip S. Miller library located at 100 S. Wilcox Street in Castle Rock. Food and the meeting will begin at 6:30pm and door prizes will be throughout the evening.

Please RSVP by October 14th to the Douglas County CD at 303-688-3042 ext. 100
